Downtown La Crosse Engagement Session | Taylor + AJ

Taylor + AJ (+ Gordon) came up to La Crosse from Illinois for their engagement session last fall. I knew Taylor from high school, but have been so thankful to get to know her as a friend through past photoshoots together. Meeting AJ for the first time and being able to see how much love and care he has for Taylor was so heartwarming, and I had a blast running around downtown La Crosse with them. There was no shortage of giggles, kisses, or cute photo worthy moments <3

These outfits were chef’s kiss. so perfect!! I was screaming about Taylor’s dress for weeks after their session. we photographed their second set at the La Crosse Friendship Gardens by Riverside.

We ended the session in my studio with some Harry Potter themed photos. OBSESSED. I love when couples incorporate personal touches into their sessions, and this was a fav of mine because I, too, am a potterhead. we actually used my childhood Harry Potter books in these photos. and they are freaking rocking these outfits and this flash. such a killer vibe

Colton

Meet Colton, part of the Onalaska class of 2023. I had the opportunity to photograph both him and his twin sister, Kieley, which was so fun! Colton spends his free time working hard in the gym and his job, and plans to join the Marines after graduation. We spent this warm August day walking around the Quarry, Downtown La Crosse, and finished our session with his truck and a sunset on top of one of the parking garages. A perfect summer day!

The Haye's Wedding Day

Jack + Olivia got married on September 3rd at Country Reflections in Sparta WI and truly had such a beautiful wedding day. They spent the morning getting ready with their peeps and anxiously waiting for the walk down the aisle.

While Olivia and her girls were getting ready, Olivia’s mom brought out a very special gift for her. This was her great grandmother’s handkerchief, passed down through generations to be with her on her big day. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

Once Olivia was all ready to go, she shared a private moment with her dad before it was time for her walk down the aisle.

And I stopped over to Jack and his dudes to snap a few photos before the ceremony started.

Mr. and Mrs. Haye! Such a beautiful ceremony, with personal vows that left everyone sobbing.

We jumped right into family photos after the ceremony, and then spent some time with their crew! Jack and Olivia’s wedding party brought energy and laughs, and were truly so excited to be sharing in these special moments.

Jack and Olivia served wood fired pizzas for dinner, which was such a unique touch. Guests were able to customize their pizzas and watch them being made to order. Also, freaking delicious.

The grand march came after dinner, and the wedding party played a “friendly” game of flip cup to get the party started.

Olivia yelling “BOYS DROOL GIRLS RULE” after the girls kicked ass was a highlight of the evening. Jack and his mom shared a dance after flip cup ended, followed by Olivia and her dad.

And then Mr. and Mrs. Haye shared their first dance as a married couple before inviting their guests to join them on the dance floor.

We snuck away and sprinted out to the back for some golden hour photos of the newlyweds. This is so important to prioritize on wedding days because this was the only time they spent alone with each other for the entire day! Just soaking in the memories and the experience and the LOVE.

And then we walked back inside to dance and party!

My favorite part of the night was when the family/dj dedicated Sweet Caroline to Olivia’s grandma Caroline and the entire dance floor lost their minds.

As I was on my way out, we snagged these priceless shots. All the fun always happens after the sun goes down!

A huge congratulations and best of luck to Jack and Olivia as they begin their life together. Such a fun and down to earth couple, with so many people around them that love and celebrate them. I’m honored to have been able to capture this day for them!

Bloody Mary's With a Fall Engagement Session | La Crosse WI | Olivia + Jack

Olivia + Jack met a couple years ago at a party and got engaged in August this year. Jack proposed on a camping trip over the summer, just the two of them. Their wedding date is set for next September, and I was so pumped to get together with them for their engagement photos in La Crosse. They brought some country tunes, their pup, Rudy, and all the goods to make Bloody Mary’s at the end of the night.

Rim of the City Engagement Session | La Crosse WI | Sarah + Cade

Sarah + Cade met at UWL and moved to the twin cities together after graduation. Cade proposed in May this year, and they’re planning to say their “I Do’s” in October 2022. These two were so genuine and down to earth, and really truly in love with each other. I had so much fun getting to know them and screaming about how cute they are!

They knew they wanted part of their session at the Rim of the City and didn't mind the little walk out there. We started out downtown before heading up to the rim. We had a gorgeous night, just at the beginning of fall. A tad windy, but so so perfect for the vibes.
